Currently, Dr. Joaquin Dopazo is the Head of the ClinicalBioinformatics Are, FPS, Sevilla, Spain. He has aBSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Biology (Universitat de Valencia, 1989). He was previously leading Bioinformatics teams at the CNIO (Madrid, Spain) and Glaxo Wellcome (Madrid, Spain), as well as in some other private and academic institutions. He has publishedmore than 270 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. His interests revolve around functional genomics, genome analysis and systems biology with special stress on clinic and traslational applications. Dr. Dopazo has supervised some of the largest andmost cited resources for genomic data analysis over the web (http://www.gepas.org and http://www.babelomics.org).
